Wake Forest’s Duke Ejiofor is headed home to Houston. The Houston Texans selected the former Demon Deacon defensive end, and Houston native, with the 3rd pick in the 6th round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Ejiofor joins former Demon Deacon Kevin Johnson, who was selected 16th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Duke Ejiofor is listed at 6’3”, 264 pounds, and was a very productive player during his illustrious Wake Forest career. Ejiofor was a two-time All-ACC selection, and finished his career with 128 tackles, including 41 tackles for loss, and 23.5 sacks.

He is known for his pass rushing ability, and will join a number of talented defensive linemen in Houston such as Jadeveon Clowney and JJ Watt. I would not want to be a quarterback in the AFC South. Ejiofor is a very technique-driven pass rusher who has very good rip, swim, and spin moves. Draft analysts all seemed to commend Houston on a good draft pick.
Congrats to Duke! It’s always great to have former Deacs to root for on NFL Sundays!
