In a rare surprising commitment for Wake Forest, three-star safety Trey Rucker committed and signed to become a Demon Deacon this morning to bring the class total to 20 signees on the day.
Rucker picked Wake Forest over Maryland, Indiana, North Carolina, N.C. State, Purdue, and Virginia.

He measures in a 6-0, 160 pounds and from the looks of his highlight reel has great ball skills and is a strong tackler as well.
Rucker is another commit who was once committed to another school but ultimately wound up in Winston-Salem when the dust settled. He was committed to Maryland in July, but opened things back up last month to take a look at some other schools.
Wake Forest jumped in there on him and from an interview with Les Johns at Demon Deacon Digest, spoke openly with him about playing free safety in Winston.
With this additional commitment, Wake Forest now ranks 45th nationally and 9th in the ACC in what is almost certainly the best class in school history.
Trey Rucker is now officially a part of that and we cannot wait to see him don the Old Gold and Black for the next few years.
