Safety Jeremiah Gray has signed with Wake Forest this morning! While listed at Safety, he’ll more than likely end up playing boundary corner and join a secondary that will be full of talent both young and old with players such as Essang Bassey, Kenneth Dicks III, Peyton Woulard and Nasir Greer.
Gray is a 6’1, 208 pound DB out of Charlotte, North Carolina and chose Wake over offers from Penn State, South Carolina and Purdue, along with interest from the likes of Auburn, Notre Dame, and Virginia Tech. Gray comes in as the #63 safety in the nation, the #35 player in North Carolina, and the #761 player in the nation.

While he ended the season on a sour note with a broken fibula, he should be good to go for next year and should be primed to compete for playing time right out of the gate.
All glory to God . Senior season was an amazing experience. Thank you to my teammates, coaches, family, and anybody who has supported me so far.— Jeremiah Gray (@JeremiahGrayyyy) November 11, 2018

As someone who has a soft spot for defensive backs, I think Gray will come and have an immediate impact on this team both on and off the field. The secondary had their fair share of rough moments this year and any and all help is welcome. He seems to be a natural leader and playmaker. Welcome to Wake Forest Jeremiah!
