Kicker Ivan Mora Signs with Wake Forest

The 6-0, 160 pound kicker out of Dalton, Georgia is now officially a Demon Deacon

NCAA Football - FedEx Orange Bowl - Louisville vs Wake Forest - January 2, 2007

Kicker Ivan Mora signed with Wake Forest this morning, and will join Nick Sciba, Zach Murphy, Ben Brown, and Cameron Lischke as the kickers on the roster for the 2019 football season.

Mora is a 6-0, 160 pound kicker out of Dalton High School in Dalton, Georgia. He chose the Demon Deacons over an offer from Georgia State, and was recruited by special teams coordinator Wayne Lineburg. Ranked as a three star by 247 Sports, he is the 7th ranked kicker in the nation, the 194th ranked recruit overall out of Georgia, and the 1973rd ranked recruit in the nation.

Mora will likely serve as a backup behind Nick Sciba, who earned and held the kicking spot for the entire 2018 season, but Coach Dave Clawson will likely welcome competition.

Mora committed on June 21, just three days after being offered by the Wake Forest coaching staff.

Mora adds to the kicking depth, and maybe can find a spot doing kickoffs if nothing else.

Welcome to Wake Forest Ivan! We are very happy to have you in the old gold and black!
