Four-star wide Receiver Nolan Groulx has officially signed with Wake Forest and in doing so becomes the highest rated recruit ever to become a Demon Deacon.
Groulx is listed at 6-0, 185 pounds and this kid is an absolute monster. He chose Wake Forest over offers from Wisconsin, South Carolina, Duke, NC State, Nebraska, and West Virginia (and those are just the Power 5 offers).
A consensus 4* recruit according to 247sports, the burner out of Cornelius, NC is so good, he's been invited to the 2019 All-America Bowl, which has an absolutely insane roster. He's the fourth best player in the state, and watching him, it shows.
I don't say this lightly, but Groulx's highlights are very reminiscent to me of Greg Dortch. He may be on the smaller side of things, but he's fast, elusive, and has great hands. There was a stop cut early in his junior year highlight video that made me audibly react watching it. I thought for sure he was just going to get tackled after an already big gain, but he absolutely freezes the defender and decides to just score instead.
In 2017, Groulx tallied 1101 yards on 75 catches and 8 touchdowns. That's almost 15 YPC. Good gravy. He's also got a nearly 36 inch vertical, so he can go up and get it as well.
I've been thinking about it, and we're honestly kind of becoming Wide Receiver U. Chris Givens, Michael Campanaro, Greg Dortch, and now Nolan Groulx? That's quite the lineage.
Welcome to the family, Nolan. Go Deacs!
