Big Grad Transfer Commit
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons received a couple bits of news two weeks prior to their matchup with the Memphis Tigers in the Birmingham Bowl. According to Les Johns of 247 Sports (his twitter can be found here @Les_Johns), Wake Forest received a commitment from Old Dominion graduate transfer Miles Fox, a defensive tackle.
Fox has already changed his social media to “Wake Forest University Grad Student, ODU Alum” as he made his commitment. Battling a couple of ailments for his senior season, Fox had a strong and productive three seasons with 107 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and three forced fumbles.
Fox will enroll in January and be ready for spring camp.
Memphis OC gets big time job
Although the streak of facing strictly interim head coaches has come to an end for the Wake Forest bowl games (Temple and then Texas A&M), Wake Forest will now be facing a Memphis team without their offensive coordinator. Kenny Dillingham was named Auburn’s new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach as he’s coached two top 10 nationally ranked offenses for the past two season.
With Dillingham heading to Auburn, Memphis comes in a big short handed in the December 22nd matchup against the Demon Deacons.
