The Wake Forest Demon Deacons look to carry their momentum into their Homecoming contest against the Syracuse Orange. Led by Coach Dino Babers, Syracuse has been the “darling” of the ACC and initial College Football Playoff Rankings. Boasting a 6-2 record, the Orange have built credibility mainly on their close contests against the Clemson Tigers.
Wake Forest will look to bring their “Beef Boyz” into the matchup after running all over Louisville last week. Babers has acknowledge that stopping RB Matt Colburn is the main priority. The Deacs may be without DL Boogie Basham (according to Conor O’Neil from the Winston Salem Journal) who won ACC defensive lineman of the week last week.
Dave Clawson says on radio that Boogie Basham is "probably doubtful" to play this weekend.

Look for the Deacs to get WR Greg Dortch involved as freshman QB Sam Hartman continues to gain valuable experience while playing better.
