The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are down to their last chance at a bowl bid against instate rival Duke Blue Devils. While much focus in Durham is on their basketball team right now, the football program has quietly put together a 7-4 season to date (albeit not a great conference record at 3-4).
Wake Forest suffered a disappointing loss against Pittsburgh in which the game blew open in the second half. With the hopes of getting to a third consecutive bowl game at stake, the Deacs are going to be playing very hard in the regular season finale.
The depth chart has just been released and there are a couple of minor changes including a shakeup again (you guessed it!) in the secondary.
Offensively, it looks like RB Matt Colburn and WR Greg Dortch are going to be healthy (healthier) this weeks as both are the top choice at their respective positions.
Both Greg Dortch and Matt Colburn are on the Wake Forest depth chart this week, as the top choice at slot receiver and running back, respectively.

Defensively, Smenda Jr. is off while Luke Masterson and Justin Strnad are the starters while Jake Simpson and DJ Taylor are their backups.

And the biggest shake-up of all is CB Amari Henderson not being on the depth chart. It’ll be Ja’Sir Taylor (backed up by Tyriq Haridmon) at one spot with Essang Bassey (backed up by Zion Keith) at the other.

With this being potentially the last depth chart piece of the season, BSD thanks the seniors who have helped steer the program back into consistent bowl games.
More importantly, Go Deacs!
