Could the Wake Forest Demon Deacons possibly bring in the number one high school recruit in North Carolina for the 2019 class?
The hope is still alive as Wendell Moore, a 6’5” wing from Cox Mill High in Concord NC, has cut his list downto four schools, and it is an all North Carolina affair with NC State, UNC Chapell Hill, and Duke rounding out the list.
His announcement will come next Monday at 7 pm.

Moore averaged 26 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game this past season. An explosive athlete, he could provide an instant offense for the Deacons in both the perimeter and in transition.
Head coach Danny Manning has been on Moore since the beginning so we will see if that reaps dividends and brings him an hour north of home.
Duke is likely the favorite, with Wake and State behind them. UNC had him scheduled for an official on October 12th, so that is probably not a good sign, but to be fair he has been around long enough to see what UNC has to offer.
Here’s to hoping he arrives at Winston-Salem.
