Good defeats evil on Saturday in Louisville

NCAA Football: Wake Forest at Louisville Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

If you want to be a scumbag of a person to 17 year old football players then you better be prepared to reap what you sow for four years. I’m not sure there has been a better example of this than what we saw last year, and again today.

Notable horrible human being Bobby Petrino did not think Matt Colburn was worthy of a scholarship at the University of Louisville, after today’s game he may think otherwise, as “Jay Burn” had his way all damn day against a putrid Louisville defense en route to a 56-35 Wake Forest victory over Louisville.

Colburn, who had his scholarship pulled by Petrino and Louisville literally 24 hours before his National Signing Day, had a day to remember at Cardinal Stadium this afternoon, romping his way to a career high 243 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 20 carries.

He had a 74 yard touchdown run just one offensive play after Louisville pulled to within 21-14 in the second quarter, and then scored right off the bat in the second half after a 56 yard scamper up the middle on a play where U of L seemed to not be playing any defense at all.

For those of you who follow me on Twitter and have read my articles on here, you know that I have absolutely no love for Louisville, so today’s performance pleased me immensely.

Wake keeps its bowl game hopes alive and gets to 4-4, 1-4, and now has a massive game against Syracuse coming up next weekend for Homecoming.

Brief recap, but let’s hear what y’all think. Wake dominated on offense and Matt got another shot at the trash that is Bobby Petrino!
