Q&A with BC Interruption

Reaching across the aisle was never easier

NCAA Football: Boston College at Northern Illinois Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

To continue on with our Q&A’s this season, I reached out to our good friends over at BCInterruption. I am joined by A.J Black who you can follow on twitter @BCHysteria

Major shoutout to him getting back to me and the overall good work everyone on that team does.

  1. What do you think the biggest difference is for this BC team this year?

The biggest difference for the Eagles in 2017 versus the team Wake fans would have seen in 2016 is certainly going to be the style of offense BC plays. This team is stressing tempo now, which is a drastic change from the slow plodding offenses ACC foes would be used to seeing out of the Eagles. For instance last week Boston College ran 92 plays, the most on record from the Eagles since 2000. They have a young quarterback Anthony Brown who looks like a play maker and wide receivers who can make plays

2. What expectations are being placed on Boston College football for this year?

BC has to make a bowl game this year, they just have to. Addazio made some improvements from 2015 to 2016 and certainly two ACC wins and a bowl win over Maryland was a step in the right direction. But he has to do more. This is his fifth year, these are all his guys, and you can see it in his demeanor, his excuses are gone, he just wants to win. I would say BC needs to win 3 ACC games this year and keep it close against the ACC powerhouses and Notre Dame.

3. Are there any worries about Landry with his slow start/being on the sideline for multiple stints last game?

Honestly I have no idea what is going on with Harold Landry. On further review of the film last week he was his usual effective self, it was just the NIU QB was getting rid of the ball lightning quick and calling run plays on the side of the field Landry was not. I have no answer to why he was on the bench during certain sequences, but I can say that if Zach Allen made more plays we wouldn't be talking about "Where is Landry?"

4. Any worries you have about Wake in general going into Saturdays game?

I do have concerns, specifically in the offensive line. They looked bad last week. They really struggled to hold blocks, and could not open gaps for the running game. Add on that center Jon Baker , who started the last 25 games is out with a knee injury, and I am very concerned with their play, especially against a good front seven like Wakes.

5. Have to ask, prediction for Saturday in Chestnut Hill?

I think it's going to be close, but I think the home field advantage will help BC sneak by with a win. BC's offense continues to improve, the line holds a little more, Eagles win 24-21.
