The votes are in, and this week’s Deac of the Week is RS Junior safety Cameron Glenn. Congratulations!
Glenn earned almost half of the votes cast, finishing with 46%. The remaining votes were split virtually evenly between Essang Bassey (who had a pick 6 and was named ACC defensive back of the week) and Jessie Bates III (who had an INT so close to a pick 6 that we should call it a pick 5, and who also led the team in tackles). You could make good arguments for any of the three earning DOTW honors. That said, Glenn had a monster game.
Stats
- 1 fumble forced
- 1 fumble recovered
- 1 interception
- 2 pass breakups
- 7 total tackles (T-2nd), 4 solo (T-3rd)
While his performance was good enough to earn him the HIGHLY-coveted DOTW award, Wake fans weren’t the only ones who noticed. He also graded out as PFF’s top college safety this week, earning him a spot on their national team of the week.
