The recruiting momentum continued this week for Dave Clawson and the Wake Forest football staff, as it secured a commitment from highly regarded 3-star cornerback Kenneth Dicks.
I like to say that I've committed to the University of Wake Forest!!! Go Deacs!!! @LambertFtBall @LambertRecruit pic.twitter.com/0SW7WMuN0c

Dicks is a 6-0, 201 pound cornerback out of Suwanee, Ga (Lambert High School). He chose Wake Forest over 32 other schools, including Louisville, Duke, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Temple, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Maryland.
This is the 15th commit for Coach Clawson for the 2018 class, and it moves Wake Forest to 11th in the ACC, and 47th nationally. He is listed as the 783rd recruit in the 2018 class, and the 70th best CB.
Dicks competed in the 2017 “Nike Football The Opening”, where he posted the second highest SPARQ score in the country, which stands for “Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness”.
He was one of 166 recruits nationally to be invited to the Finals. The only other Wake Forest commit to appear in the Finals is Taleni Suhren. There were also only 28 2018 DB’s invited.
Dicks ran a 4.51 40 while listed at 197 pounds, which was the third fastest time in the camp. For reference, the two other recruits who beat his time were 167 pounds and 174 pounds.
Wake Forest was the first Power 5 team to offer Dicks, doing so just two days after The Opening. From there the floodgates opened, with Louisville offering two days later and a litany of other schools offering afterwards.
He camped with Auburn and Clemson in the past couple of months as well, but did not draw a scholarship offer.
Coach Clawson and the staff continue to crush it on the recruiting trail, and this week has probably been the best so far. Clawson is showing he can identify talent early, get the offer in, and deliver on commitments. Now the staff has to work hard to make sure Dicks signs on the dotted line when the time comes.
This guy projects as somebody who could have an immediate impact from day one, especially with the uncertainty at the CB position right now. Jiles will only be here for one year, and it is unknown if Dionte Austin will return from his year away from the team.
Welcome to Wake Kenneth, we can’t wait to see what you have in store for the Demon Deacon fans!
