Wake Forest Opens at 200/1 Odds to win ACC Title

The odds are against the Deacs winning the ACC this year

NCAA Football: ACC Football Championship Game-Clemson vs North Carolina Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

If Wake Forest is going to win the ACC Championship in football then it is going to have to overcome some tremendous odds to do so. According to Bovada odds, the Demon Deacons are 200/1 odds to claim the ACC title this season.

The full odds are listed below:

NCAA Football 2017 Season - Odds to win the ACC Championship

Florida State 1/1

Clemson 3/1

Louisville 6/1

Miami 6/1

Virginia Tech 9/1

North Carolina 25/1

NC State 25/1

Georgia Tech 33/1

Pittsburgh 50/1

Duke 75/1

Boston College 200/1

Syracuse 200/1

Virginia 200/1

Wake Forest 200/1

This comes as no surprise to most folks, but I will say that I was a bit surprised the Deacs were slated at the same odds as: Virginia, Syracuse, and Boston College, while Duke got 75/1 odds. Some of that is that Wake plays in a harder division than Duke, but there is a large discrepancy in value there.

If I were a gambling man I would say there is a good bit of value in Virginia Tech and Miami. One of those two will almost assuredly claim the Coastal Division this year, likely matching them up against Florida State.

FSU is the odds-on favorite to win it, but at 1/1 odds I don’t think I would touch them, especially in a division with Clemson and Louisville.

What do y’all think about Wake’s odds, as well as everybody else?
