Former Wake Forest big man John Collins continued his fantastic play so far in the Summer League, compiling 13 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and the following plays in the first half alone of the Atlanta Hawks-Chicago Bulls game:

Throughout the ESPNU broadcast Collins has been raved about by Jeff Goodman, Seth Greenburg, Macolm Delaney, and pretty much anybody else they showed. Not only has Collins been crazy efficient, he is doing it against one of the top big guys in this year’s Draft in Lauri Markkanen.
He does have four fouls in the first half, but since there is a 10 foul limit in the Summer League that’s not a large concern for today. It is still something that he will need to continue to work on, but given the “AAU” type game that is being played I wouldn’t read too much into it today.
His offensive game is translating well, and his high motor+ability to run the floor successfully really sticks out when you are watching.
