The iron on the recruiting trail has been hot, and coach Clawson and co. have been striking. This past weeks the Deacs picked up a commitment from Kaleb Smith, a defensive back out of Virginia.
Smith isn’t rated on 247 sports, but that doesn’t take away from what the coaches saw themselves. He is 6’3, 190lbs, can run a true 4.5 40, and has a 39” vertical. With a little filling out a move to corner for him seems very likely.

As mentioned, he just needs to fill out a big more, but he seems to have all of the tools to succeed at Wake once he steps foot on campus.
The Deacs seem to be creeping up on the 15-16 spots that they reasonably have left, so i’m interested to see how Wake fills the rest of the spots.
