Ben Breazeale hit a walk off 2 run home run over the scoreboard in right field to defeat the Florida Gators 8-6 in the bottom of the 11th inning.

A Baseball America article had an anonymous coach who had said that David Couch Ballpark is a “wiffleball park”, and that inflated the Deacs’ home run total, but there was no doubt on Breazeale’s homer.
Gavin Sheets had hit a leadoff single to right before Breazeale came up to the plate and blasted the fastball from Florida closer Michael Byrne. This is the second straight game in which Breazeale has homered off of Byrne, as he hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning of game one to give Byrne his first blown save of the season.
Wake hit five home runs in game 2, which debunks the “wiffleball” quote, and the official NCAA Baseball Twitter account even recognizes the #RakeForest now:
The name is deserved... #RAKEFOREST!

Game 2 starts at approximately 4:10pm on ESPN2. A win means Wake’s first trip to Omaha since 1955.
Unfortunately, weather is expected to be a factor yet again.
