Winston-Salem Regional: At A Glance

The Diamond Deacs will host three teams this weekend for the Winston-Salem Regional.

Wake Forest will host an NCAA Baseball Regional for the first time in over 15 years this weekend.

The No. 1 ranked Demon Deacons will welcome No. 2 West Virginia, No. 3 Maryland, and No. 4 UMBC to Winston-Salem for a double-elimination tournament format.

The winner of the Regional this weekend will move on to the Super Regional against the winner of the Gainesville Regional (hosted by the University of Florida).

1. Wake Forest Demon Deacons

The Winston-Salem Regional kicks off on Friday, June 2nd when No. 2 West Virginia takes on No. 3 Maryland at 2 p.m. That game will be followed by No. 1 Wake Forest and No. 4 UMBC at 7 p.m. in the nightcap.

The winners and losers of these two first round games will square off on Saturday in this double-elimination format. The losers will play at 2 p.m. in an elimination game, while the winners will play at 7 p.m. to see who advances to the finals.

The loser of the nightcap will play in an elimination game Sunday at noon, and the Championship Game will take place at 5 p.m.

If the team from the "loser's bracket" knocks off the team that is 2-0 on Sunday afternoon, there will be a decisive final game on Monday at 7 p.m.

Sunday, June 4 - Championship game 5 p.m.

Monday, June 6 - If Necessary 7 p.m.
