Clawson and Co. continue to be very active on the recruiting scene, offering several players for the 2018 class. The coaching staff appears to be sticking to the east coast for now, with most of the recent offers going to players in Florida and Georgia and a few in South Carolina and Alabama.

JaQuez Jackson is a 6-1, 215lb linebacker at Peach County High School in Fort Valley, Georgia. Jackson is a current junior and is rated as a 3 star player by Rivals. He currently has competing offers from Cincinnati, Arkansas St., Colorado St., Georgia Southern, Tulane, Kent St., and Troy. The Deacs should be in a good position to land Jackson for next year’s class.

RJ Roderick is a 6-0, 207lb Jr. safety playing at Cane Bay High School in Summerville, SC. He is a member of the 2018 recruiting class but plans on graduating early and enrolling in college next January. Roderick is not rated, but he is a highly recruited prospect who has offers from NC State, ECU, UVA, South Carolina, and several other smaller schools. Clemson is reportedly also very interested in him, though I haven’t seen an official offer yet. From his Twitter account, it seems like Roderick is definitely leaning towards playing for his home state Gamecocks.

Jonathan Hess is a 6-5, 215lb safety out of Vestavia Hills High School in Birmingham, Alabama. He is rated as a 3-star player by 247sports and has competing offers from Army, Navy, Citadel, MTSU, Syracuse, Tulane, FAU, and UAB. From his offer list, Hess may be looking at going to a service academy. If that is not the case, the Deacs have a good shot at landing him. You can’t teach height, and 6-5 is some very nice size for a safety.

Jatorian Hansford is a 6-4 220lb linebacker out of Mary Persons High School in Forsyth, Georgia. He is rated a 3-star player by Rivals and has competing offers from Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Rutgers, UAB, Troy, and Western Kentucky.

Juanyeh Thomas is 6-2, 204lb defensive back playing at Niceville High School in Florida. He is rated as a 3-star player by 247 sports and has competing offers from Auburn, App State, Florida, Florida A&M, Georgia Tech, Indiana, UCF, and Troy. With huge football programs like Auburn and his hometown Gators extending him scholarship offers, it is probably unlikely the Deacs will get Thomas, but if Clawson could swing him it would be a great get for the program.

Kenneth Dicks III is a 6-0, 201lb defensive back out of Lambert High School in Suwanee, Georgia. He is rated as a 3 star player by Rivals and has competing offers from Air Force, Army, Buffalo, Colorado State, Tulane, UMass, and Troy.

What are your thoughts on these latest offers from the coaching staff?
