Ty Hayworth signs with the Jacksonville Jaguars

Another Wake Forest player to the NFL

NCAA Football: Tulane at Wake Forest Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Add former Wake Forest offensive lineman Ty Hayworth the to the list of Demon Deacons to join the professional ranks in the NFL.

According to his own Twitter feed, Hayworth will join the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Hayworth stands at 6-3, 323 pounds and will attempt to make the team at guard. He had a good Pro Day at Wake Forest in March, benching 225 pounds 26 times.

Hailing from Kingsport, Tennessee and an alum of Dobyns-Bennett High School, Hayworth was a stalwart on the Wake Forest offensive line ever since his redshirt freshman year in 2013.

He primarily played left guard throughout his career, but moved around a bit when needed due to injuries/lack of depth on the offensive line.

Congratulations to Hayworth as he pursues his dream of playing in the NFL. We are happy to see that Wake served as an avenue to get that done, and look forward to hopefully watching him play in the League.
