2018 6'8 WF Darius Days receives an offer from Wake Forest!— The Florida Vipers (@Florida_Vipers) April 30, 2017
Wake Forest has offered 6-8 wing forward Darius Days a scholarship, according to his AAU team Twitter feed. Days is ranked as the 67th best prospect in the nation according to 247Sports for the 2018 class.
Days attends The Rock School in Gainesville, Florida, and unsurprisingly is very high on Florida, who has also offered. In addition to the Gators, Days has offers from Memphis, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, and several others.
He is on the fringe of getting blue blood offers as well following his play over the past few months.
While Florida is seemingly in the lead, Danny Manning continues to go after players at the 3-4 position who are versatile. Days would fit in as a stretch four that the Deacs like to utilize. His scoring and rebounding are both assets, and his “high motor” is what has drawn a lot of teams to offer thus far.
He can also extend opposing defenses with his range, as he did frequently in this video taken last September:
