Wake Forest Demon Deacons (19-12, 10-9) vs. Virginia Tech Hokies (21-9, 10-8)

Brooklyn, New York (Barclays Center)

Time: 7:00 p.m. ET

TV: ESPN2/ACC Network Affiliates

Online Streaming: WatchESPN

Odds: Wake Forest is favored by 3 points. Over/Under is 161 points.

Ken Pom: Wake Forest is projected to win 84-82, 59% win probability.

Wake Forest took care of business on Tuesday afternoon when they beat Boston college by 14 points. In my opinion, the Deacons have done more than enough to solidify their NCAA Tournament resume. They have no bad losses, as their "worst" loss was a 5-point loss at #46 (Ken Pom ranking) Syracuse. I'll get on more of a soap box in a future piece.

Wake Forest returns to action this evening when they take on the Virginia Tech Hokies, who the Deacons defeated 89-84 in Blacksburg on Saturday. I expect that Wake will throw that 2-3 matchup zone against Virginia Tech, but the Hokies have had time to prepare for it. I'm assuming they spent a lot of their Sunday and Monday prep on Wake Forest, even though it was possible that they'd ultimately be playing Boston College. It will be critical for Wake to dominate the glass and score inside. Additionally, they need to do a very good job of denying dribble penetration and contesting perimeter shots.

I'll be watching and I hope that you all join me in the comments section throughout. As always, go Deacs!
