Odds: Wake Forest opened as a 10.5 point favorite, but is now favored by 13 points. Over/Under is 159 points.
Ken Pom: Ken Pom projects that Wake Forest will win 88-75 and will win 88% of the time.
I don't know how to say this, but this game is kind of a big deal. If Wake Forest beats Boston College today, then the Deacs are very likely to make the NCAA Tournament. If they lose, then it gets dicey and Wake fans will be doing a lot of scoreboard watching during conference championship week.
Wake Forest is better than Boston College at almost every Ken Pom statistic, with the exception of forcing turnovers (both are bad) and grabbing defensive rebounds. I have to think that BC is good at the latter because it's a point of emphasis to grab boards and they sacrifice transition opportunities. Wake tries to do a combination of both. The Deacs sacrifice a bit in defensive rebounding but are still pretty good at it and also can get outlet passes to Bryant Crawford for fast break opportunities.
I'll be around throughout the game rooting on the Deacs. I hope that you all will join me in the comments section below. As always, go Deacs!
