Defensive line coach Dave Cohen continued his strong work on the recruiting trail, landing three-star defensive tackle Kelijiha Brown out of Saluda, South Carolina for the class of 2018. At 6-3, 305 pounds, Brown was being recruited by Colorado State, East Carolina, and South Carolina.

247Sports lists Brown as an 86 overall, ranking 560th nationally, and the 38th ranked defensive tackle for the class of 2018.

Brown took several unofficial visits over the past few months to South Carolina, and that is where the experts believed he would ultimately wind up.

Anytime Wake Forest can steal a kid out of South Carolina from going to the Gamecocks it’s a big deal, and this time it’s literally a big deal. His weight should give him the ability to clog up the middle and stop the run.

This interview from back in the summer shows him talking about South Carolina and how they built an interest in him early

Congratulations to Kelijiha Brown on committing to Wake Forest and we can’t wait to see you in the Old Gold and Black!
