Winston-Salem, North Carolina (LJVM Coliseum)
Time: 3:00 p.m. ET
TV Channel: Fox Sports Carolinas (Affiliates)
Online Streaming: WatchESPN
Odds: Wake Forest is favored by 7.5 points. Over/Under is 145.5 points. Ken Pom projects that Wake Forest will win 77-68 with a 78% win probability.
Georgia Tech didn't appear to be a formidable opponent at the beginning of the season, but the Yellow Jackets are now 13-9 overall, including 5-5 in ACC play with wins over UNC, Florida State, and Notre Dame, and is definitely on "bubble watch." That said, Wake Forest still has an excellent chance to win and improve to 5-6 in conference play.
There will be a significant contrast in styles in this one, as Wake Forest is an elite offensive team (12th nationally in offensive efficiency), while Georgia Tech is an elite defensive team (10th nationally in defensive efficiency). Conversely, Georgia Tech is 220th in offensive efficiency, while Wake Forest is 149th in defensive efficiency. Ultimately, I believe that the Yellow Jackets don't have enough offensive firepower to keep up with our Deacons.
It's a pivotal game for Wake Forest and I hope that you all will join me in the comments section throughout the game. As always, go Deacs!
