Adam: Wake Forest wins 92-85
Neither of these teams play very good defense (both are bottom 3 in the acc in def efficiency), so I fully expect this game to be an offensive shootout. Collins and Crawford have their usual games, but their efforts are neutralized by Artis and Young. The role players for either side will determine who wins this one, and I think its about time Dinos Mitoglou had one of "those games" in conference play. The Greek Deac goes for 20 points and helps the Deacs pick up a win.
Cam: Wake Forest wins 94-85
Whatever the over is in this game it might get crushed, two defenses who just seemingly can't get stops. Wake finally wakes up and continually gets the ball to JC even in crunch time and keeps Pitt at arms length.
Chris: Wake Forest wins 90-79
Wake needs wins, and they're playing good basketball right now. John Collins is one of the hottest players in the nation, and Pitt is actually a decent matchup for Wake, unlike a lot of teams in this year's ACC. Wake should be able to score enough to comfortably win this one even with the subpar defense they've shown in recent weeks.
Grumpy: Wake Forest wins 87-81
Pitt is similar to Wake in a lot of ways (efficient offense, lackluster defense). Both are sitting at 15-12 and trying to keep alive the possibility of intrigue on Selection Sunday. Pitt started out ACC play horribly, but has seemingly turned things around as of late, with 3 wins in 4 games (the one loss by 3 pts to VT). They're coming off a huge win against FSU, and I think they'll be motivated to keep stringing some wins together. Meanwhile, Wake is desperately trying to squeeze out two more wins in its last three games. The Deacs have only dropped one home ACC contest, so I'm thinking they play tight and get the needed win here.
Riley: Wake Forest wins 93-78
This should be a pretty entertaining game to watch if you like offensive firepower. Wake can't stop Artis or Young, and Pitt can't stop Collins or Crawford. I'm guessing this one will be played in the high 80's and possible low 90's for the winning team. If Wake continues to crash the boards and get the ball to Collins then I think it will be enough to get the W.
Rob: Wake Forest wins 80-76
The Demon Deacons went 0-2 last week, but played arguably its best game of the season in a narrow loss at Cameron Indoor Stadium against Duke. Pitt has a lot of size, particularly on the perimeter, but that hasn't translated into the ability to be particularly good at rebounding or creating steals. With Wake at home, I think Wake Forest will make enough threes to win the game and keep NCAA Tournament hopes alive.
