Adam: Wake Forest wins 79-75
The Deacs use the fact that they absolutely blew their last game against Clemson as motivation to go out an execute with a sense of urgency and intensity similar to that of the State game. Clemson (like pretty much every ACC team) is a tough team at home, but Wake Forest pulls out a win in the final minute.
Cam: Wake Forest wins 85-69
Gotta feel as if Clemson and Wake are going in two separate directions. Collins drops another double double, Woods keeps on chugging along with another solid performance and the Deacs don't fall asleep(too badly) on defense after getting a solid lead.
Chris: Wake Forest wins 84-80
This is the highest stakes game for the basketball team in a long time, and the Deacs will want to avenge their miserable collapse from the first matchup this season. This is a pick with my heart and not my head, but I'm trying to be more positive. Wake needs a big game out of John Collins to win.
Elijah: Wake Forest wins 82-79
Wake should win fairly easily but for some reason, it feels like a trap game against an inferior opponent. While John Collins will continue his great play, I think the game will end up a lot closer than expected.
Grumpy: Clemson wins 86-83
On paper, I think we should cruise. But, despite the wins at NC State and BC, Wake is a team that has yet to prove itself on the road against legit competition. Clemson's record is bad, but they are 39th in KP (compared to 103 for NCSU and 149 for BC). Meanwhile, Clemson has played tough at home: their four ACC home losses were to UNC by 3, UVA by 4, VT by 1, and Cuse by 1. And, they just lost at Duke by 2. Wake will need to bring its A game to get a win here.
Ken Pom: Honorary staff member Ken Pomeroy projects that Clemson will win 80-77
Rob: Wake Forest wins 80-77
I have been saying for weeks that Wake Forest is going to win this game, so I cannot change that now. I truly feel that Wake will come out angry and looking to avenge that collapse against Clemson. This team has gotten a lot better since that loss and I expect the Deacons to come home with a .500 record in conference and a 3rd ACC road victory of the season.
Ned: Wake Forest wins 76-75
There are plenty of ways for Wake Forest to make the Field of 68 without this one, but I don’t want to imagine those scenarios right now. The Deacs win a nail-biter in South Carolina to get back to .500 in the conference and knock Clemson off the bubble they are somehow still floating on. Expect John to feast down low and Keyshawn to come up huge once again.
Vegas: Our friends in Las Vegas set a line of Clemson (-3) with the over/under of 156.5.
