The Wake Forest Demon Deacons dominated NC State 88-58 on Saturday afternoon to improve to 15-10 on the season, including 6-7 in ACC play. The win certainly helped Wake Forest’s NCAA Tournament hopes, and improved their place in the ACC standings, but it also helped with recruits.
Along with the Sarr official visit, Wake Forest hosts today:

Olivier Sarr was in Winston-Salem for his official visit. The 4-star big man is from France and is also considering Cal, Vanderbilt, and UCF. We wrote more about Sarr HERE, but his highlight video is below.
John Newman is a 6’6” shooting guard out of Greensboro Day who is in the 2018 recruiting class. He also holds scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Boston College. He has been to at least Wake’s three previous games, and appears to be one of Wake’s top targets in the class. He has a nice mid range jumper and gives Wake some much needed size on the wing.
Nate Laszewski is a 4-star small forward in the 2018 class, and is rated as one of the top 100 players nationally. He is from New England and currently holds scholarship offers from Wake Forest, Miami, and Villanova.
Laszewski was joined by his high school teammate Max Lorca, who is a top 100 player in the 2019 recruiting class. He’s a 6’10” center who currently holds offers from Saint Louis, Penn State, and Seton Hall.
Wendell Moore is a 6’5” sophomore small forward out of Cox Mill High School in Concord, North Carolina. He is ranked by Scout as the 31st best prospect in the 2019 recruiting class, and holds offers from Wake Forest, North Carolina, NC State, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Georgia, and Tennessee. He has been to several of Wake Forest’s home games this season, and would be a valuable addition to the program.
The most talented player in the building was Christian Brown, who is a 5-star small forward out of Columbia, South Carolina. The 2019 star is ranked as the 14th best player in the class, and holds offers from Wake Forest, Kansas, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Florida, and several others. He’s an athletic freak with touch from the outside, so it’s easy to see why he is so sought after.
