Loic Nya, a 6-3 265-pound guard out of Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, Maryland, has signed with Wake Forest.

Nya is likely to be a bit of a project for the Deacs; originally from Camaroon, he has only been playing football for a few years and is still learning the intricacies of the game. It would not come as a surprise if Clawson decided to redshirt Nya to give him an extra year of practice to more familiarize himself with the rules and the game of the football itself. Nya is listed as a 3 star by Scout and a 2 star by Rivals. He will need to refine his technique and put on some more weight, but he definitely has the potential to be a terrific offensive lineman for the Deacs.

Clawson and his staff have targeted players like Nya and Phil Haynes several years ago who have outstanding upside at the offensive line position. I’m very excited to watch Nya’s development over the next several years.
