Coach Clawson and staff have received the paperwork for Ja’Sir Taylor to officially become a Demon Deacon. As one of the last members of this recruiting class, Taylor decommitted from Wake’s bowl victim, Temple, and flipped to Wake Forest shortly after an official visit in mid-January. Clearly he watched the game.
Welcome Ja'Sir Versatile player who can play multiple positions. Will compete right away in the secondary and in the return game. #GoDeacs pic.twitter.com/VOwCL3WqG7

In addition to having the top name in this class, the athlete out of New Jersey brings plenty of promise to Winston-Salem as well. Taylor is listed at 6’0, 175-pounds and is rated as the 67th best athlete in the country by 247 Sports. He played a multitude of positions in high school, including slot receiver and cornerback. At the next level it is likely that Wake will play him in the defensive backfield and possibly give him a chance as a kick returner as well.
Can’t wait for several “Ja’Sir’s!” to be exclaimed at BB&T Field after key interceptions and pass break-ups. Welcome to Wake!
Extremely blessed to announce I am 110% committed to Wake Forest University #GoDeacs pic.twitter.com/QB5XTco2LR
