Christian Beal is a consensus 3-star All Purpose Back per 247 Sports. Growing up and playing for local East Forsyth High School, Beal has been committed since July of 2015. While also holding offers from Duke and East Carolina, Beal is a different kind of back compared to ones currently on the roster.
Already on campus! Tough competitive RB who can run and catch. Great to get one from our backyard! #GoDeacs pic.twitter.com/MczYEIM82f

While Wake’s rushing attack has benefited from mostly straight, hit the hole runners, Beal brings a lot more shake and could have opportunities in more than just running out of the shotgun. Beal can make an impact from all over the field, having experience in the slot, running back, and even wildcat formation quarterback. He should provide Wake Forest’s with a lot of options, which will make life harder on opposing defensive coordinators.
He was very productive in high school and began playing varsity football in ninth grade. As a senior he ran for 1,525 yards and 25 touchdowns. He was a three-time all-conference player and led his team to three conference championships.
Beal enrolled early at Wake Forest and will participate in offseason workouts as well as spring practice. Wake Forest fans will be able to watch his playmaking in person at the spring game.
