Jacorey Johns, a 3-star linebacker out of Cartersville, GA (Cartersville High School) signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at Wake Forest today.
Johns committed to Wake Forest on October 25th, 2017 and chose the Deacs over offers from Appalachian State, Colorado State, Florida Atlantic, Purdue, and several other schools that came on late.
Huge addition to the 2018 class in 3* LB product Jacorey Johns! 16th member of yet another strong class for Dave Clawson and the staff https://t.co/SYpsDFkMno

At 6-4, 220 pounds, Johns has the ability to play standing up or with his hand on the ground, which should translate well to the collegiate level. He is listed as a DE/ILB currently, but I am guessing he will primarily play the linebacker position for Wake Forest.
According to 247Sports Johns is the 47th ranked ILB in the class of 2018 and just outside the national top 1000.
Welcome to Wake Forest Jacorey! We can’t wait to see you in the Old Gold and Black and are thoroughly pleased that you chose to attend our beloved university!
