Coach Dave Clawson added another piece to the offensive line today when Orlando Heggs II officially signed his national letter of intent for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Heggs, who flipped last week from a commitment to Colorado State, is a three-star signee from The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida.
The 6-4, 305 pound offensive guard received 13 offers in total, including: Iowa State, Appalachian State, Marshall, Memphis, and obviously Colorado State, along with a few other schools.
He marked the 18th total commit for the 2018 recruiting class where Wake currently sits at 13th in the ACC and 55th nationally. He was the fourth offensive lineman to sign with the 2018 class, joining offensive tackles Devonte Gordon and Mike Edwards, as well as guard Michael Jurgens.
Welcome to Wake Forest Orlando, we can’t wait to see you in the Old Gold and Black! It’s time to keep the positive momentum of the offensive front moving forward and guys like Heggs are how the Deacs will continue to compete in the ACC over the next few seasons.
