Wake Forest has had a history of talented cornerbacks, and they just inked another one on Wednesday morning. Kenneth Dicks III, a 3-star cornerback out of Lambert High School in Suwanee, Georgia, signed his national letter of intent to play football for Wake Forest University.
Dicks III is a 3-star prospect on 247 Sports composite ranking, and is rated as the 78th best cornerback in the country. He holds more than 30 scholarship offers, including Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Minnesota, Duke, Ole Miss, Syracuse, and Rutgers. He has good size at 6’0”, 201 pounds, and is an excellent cover corner. He’s also an elite athlete, who had the second highest SPARQ score in the country. SPARQ stands for “Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness.” All of those traits are clearly incredibly valuable for a corner to have.
He was a preseason Class 7A all-state selection in the talent rich state of Georgia and had a very good senior campaign. Wake Forest was the first Power Five school to offer him, and that outstanding talent evaluation paid off with a commitment from an incredible player. I would not be surprised to see him playing as a true freshman in the fall.
