With the bye week behind them, the Deacs are gearing up for the second half of the season and are hopefully well prepared for the triple option attack they will soon face. Since we have a pretty good idea of how Wake Forest and the other ACC teams are playing this year, we thought it would be a good idea to take a look back at our season predictions and update them, need be.
Firstly, here are the predictions from the beginning of the season, with everything going as predicted except for the doubters (AKA everyone but Rob and me) picking App to beat Wake Forest:

And here are the predictions for the final 6 games (we have a few more predictions this time around):

Let’s take a quick look at how the predictions have changed through the first 6 games.
Everyone but Grumpy had Louisville beating the Deacs at the beginning of the season; Now just Elijah thinks the Cardinals will leave BB&T Field with a win. This change is probably due to the fact that UL has fallen out of the top 25 and just recently lost to Boston College at home.
Another big change is the Syracuse game. The early predictions were unanimously in favor of Wake Forest, however the Orange now have the advantage 3-4. Syracuse has been playing pretty well since losing to MTSU at home, barely losing to 2 ranked opponents in NC State and LSU (who followed up an embarrassing lost to Troy at home with back to back ranked wins over Florida and Auburn so its hard to say if they are good or not) and beating 2nd ranked Clemson. The Orange could be tough to beat on their home turf.
With the way NC State is playing, no one was brave enough to predict Wake Forest to defeat them in Winston-Salem. It looks like the Wolfpack have a shot to win the Atlantic Division and play in the ACC Championship Game.
The Duke and Notre Dame predictions remain the same across the board. No one thinks the Deacs are picking up a win in South Bend or losing to Duke at home.
Everyone has the Deacs picking up the 6 wins required to go bowling.
How do you think the final 6 games of the season will play out? Will the Deacs be able to get to 6 wins and make it to a bowl? Let us know below.
