Wake Forest vs. Boston College: Q&A with BC Interruption

We catch up with our friends over at BCI.

NCAA Basketball: Syracuse at Boston College Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons square off against the Boston College Eagles on Tuesday evening in what will be the first of two matchups between the two schools this season. In order to learn more about our counterparts in #therivalry, we caught up with Arthur Bailin of BC Interruption.

BSD: BC didn't exactly light the world on fire during the early portion of the season, but since then you all have impressive victories over Auburn, Providence, and Syracuse. What do you think has been the biggest difference?

BCI: I think there's an element of youth in that equation. You have a lot of young guys playing with each other for the first time, and there is inherently going to be some disconnect. Turnovers in particular were a big problem, and that just means the team wasn't in sync. There was also a problem with scoring, as it appeared that Jerome Robinson was the only guy who can score. Then Ky Bowman started to find his stroke, and the team got better.

BSD: It's year three of Jim Christian's tenure at Boston College. What were the fans hoping to see this season?

BCI: Improvement is the buzz word around the team. The team just needed to be better from last season, and be competitive. Sunday against Syracuse went a long way for that.

BSD: Which Boston College player do you believe is the biggest x-factor in this game?

BCI: I'm going to stick with what I mentioned earlier and say Ky Bowman. He has been absolutely lights out as of late, and if he can get going the Eagles are going to be a tough out.

BSD: Finally, let's get a prediction for this one.

BCI: I say BC takes this game 70-66. Overconfidence is a helluva thing.
