Winston-Salem, North Carolina (LJVM Coliseum)

Time: 8:00 p.m. ET

TV: ESPN2

Odds: North Carolina is favored by 9 points. Over/Under is 165 points. Ken Pom Projects that North Carolina will win 85-79 and gives Wake Forest a 29% chance to win.

Our beloved Demon Deacons have a very difficult test on Wednesday evening when they take on the #11 North Carolina Tar Heels, who are coming off a 107-56 beat down of North Carolina State. I haven't seen a thrashing that bad since Ronald Reagan defeated Walter Mondale in 1984, though red was superior to blue in that contest.

Carolina is #6 in Ken Pom and looked like the best team in the country during the first month of the season. Somehow this team lost to a terrible Georgia Tech team, so that should give Wake Forest fans hope. The key in that one was Georgia Tech attempted 19 more free throws than did the Tar Heels, but Carolina is typically excellent at keeping opponents off the foul line (insert Carolina refs joke here).

The Heels are the best offensive rebounding team in the country. While Wake Forest has been better as of late on the defensive glass, finishing defensive possessions with a rebound has been an Achilles heel for the Deacs this season. If Wake has a shot, this needs to be Wake's best effort on the defensive glass. It's also imperative that Wake knock down perimeter shots. Additionally, John Collins has to stay out of foul trouble in order for Wake to have a shot.

We hope you all will join us in the comments section throughout the game. As always, go Deacs!
