Kendall Hinton suffered a non-contact injury with 4 minutes remaining in the 1st quarter of the Wake Forest football team’s contest against the Delaware Blue Hens. He went to take off on a run, and then immediately stopped, and went to the ground. He was able to walk off the field with some assistance, but he was moving very gingerly. He was sitting on the sideline for some time, but went to the locker room midway through the 2nd quarter. He is out for the remainder of the first half and will be reevaluated at halftime.
This is the play where Hinton pulled up.
Some have speculated that Hinton actually got hurt on the previous play (deep pass to Cortez Lewis). Here is a better look at that play. You can see that he lands pretty hard on that left knee, which he later put ice on.
Hinton was named Wake Forest’s new starting quarterback earlier this week, and was having a good game. He completed 2 of 4 passes for 24 yards, and carried the ball 9 times for 38 yards and a touchdown.
We will continue to update this article as soon as we hear any news regarding Kendall Hinton’s health status.
UPDATE: 8:30 p.m. ET
@Les_Johns Announcer on TV said he asked Ruggiero as he walked by if there was any news and he said "Nothing good."

Officially a left knee sprain for Kendall Hinton. He will not return tonight. Apparently, those are now catching.
