Wake Forest Football Recruiting: Wake Makes Mike Allen’s Top 6

mike allen Student Sports

Defensive end Mike Allen has trimmed his college list to six, and the Wake Forest football program continues to be in the mix. The Deacs are joined by Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, South California, and Georgia. Allen is ranked as one of the 350 best players in the 2017 recruiting class, including one of the top 21 defensive ends.

Mike Allen is 6’4”, 239 pounds and attends Lanier High School in Sugar Hill, Georgia. Allen is an excellent pass rusher, who would provide immediate help to Wake Forest’s defensive line. Allen would greatly help disrupt opposing passing attacks, and he is also very capable of providing support in the run game.

Wake Forest is legitimately in the mix for Mike Allen because of the vision that Dave Clawson is establishing at Wake, and the great job that Dave Cohen has done at relationship building.

We will continue to follow Allen’s recruiting process, and keep you all updated as he sets up official visits.
