The Wake Forest football program has had a lot of recruiting momentum as of late, and tonight the program received some more good news. Chase Monroe, a 3-star linebacker out of North Carolina, announced his top 3 schools, and the Deacs made the cut. Monroe's top 3 also included Kentucky, and Mississippi State. What else do we know about Chase?

Chase Monroe is a 3-star inside linebacker out of Davidson Day in North Carolina, which is the same high school that Cade Carney attended, and Sam Hartman currently attends. Hopefully the Wake Forest connection gives the Deacs a nice recruiting pitch. He finished the 2015 season with 129 total tackles, and was named first team All-State. He is ranked by 247 Sports Composite as being the 704th best player in the 2017 recruiting class, including the 27th best inside linebacker. Kentucky currently holds all 8 Crystal Ball predictions, but all of those predictions were made over 2 months ago.
Wake Forest already has several talented linebackers committed in the 2017 recruiting class, but Monroe would be an outstanding addition to the class. We will continue to follow Chase's recruiting process.
