The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the the tv channels and kickoff times for Wake Forest's first three contests of the 2016 football season. When and where can Wake Forest fans catch the Demon Deacons in action?
Wake Forest will open the season on Thursday, September 1st at BB&T Field against Tulane. The game will begin at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN3. Tulane went just 3-9 last season and finished 151st in Jeff Sagarin's predictor ratings. For reference, Wake went 3-9 and finished 89th in the predictor ratings.
The Deacons will begin ACC play on Saturday, September 10th when they travel to Durham to take on the Duke Blue Devils. The game will begin at 3:30 and will be broadcast on ESPNU. Duke went 8-5 last season and finished 55th in Sagarin's predictor ratings.
Wake Forest will then return home on Saturday, September 17th when they host the Delaware Blue Hens at 6:30 p.m. That game will be broadcast on ESPN3. Delaware went just 4-7 in FCS play last season and finished 189th in the predictor ratings. More importantly, this game time makes for some elite tailgating.
Wake should absolutely go at least 2-1 during this stretch. Anything less is a tremendous blow to Wake's bowl chances, and 3-0 would be a major boost.
