Michael Jennings of 247 Sports is reporting that Austin Arians will visit Wake Forest this weekend. Arians is a 6'6" small forward out of University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. What would he bring to the Wake Forest basketball team?

Arians would be an outstanding addition to next year's Wake Forest roster. He will bring experience to a young roster, and he also has a number of tangible skills that will more directly help Wake on the court. He has one of the lowest turnover rates in the country, and all Wake Forest fans know that that has been a horrific issue for the Deacs in recent years. He also has nice size at 6'6" that will allow him to more appropriately defend opposing wings. In addition to that, he has consistently made more than 35% of his three point attempts over the past two seasons. By comparison, that would have been number one on Wake Forest's roster this past season.

Manning has made Arians a priority from very early on in the recruiting cycle, and this is an excellent development. We will continue to monitor the situation. This weekend is a great one to attend, and hopefully the Deacs receive a commitment. Wake Forest currently has two available scholarships to use.
