Jordan Williams, an elite 2017 football prospect out of Virginia Beach, tweeted out his top 9 schools on Thursday afternoon, and Wake Forest made the cut. Williams is a 6'5", 250 pound defensive end, who is consensus 4-star, and a top 175 prospect in the country. He is a playmaker defensive end, who can intercept passes, rush the quarterback, and contain the run.

Williams is one of Wake's top targets in the 2017 recruiting class, and recently visited Wake's campus as part of Wake Forest's invitation-only Junior Day. It's obviously a long way to go until National Signing Day, but it's impressive that Wake Forest is even in the conversation with this caliber of player. Dave Clawson is really build something at Wake, and this is the kind of thing that happens when schools make an appropriate commitment to facilities.
Blogger So Dear will continue to track Williams' recruitment as he continues to make unofficial visits, and sets up official visits. You can check out his highlight reel below. It's very easy to see why he is so highly regarding by recruiting services and head coaches.
