Taleni Suhren, a 6'5 290 pound offensive tackle from Ardrey Kell HS (Charlotte, NC) has officially signed with Wake Forest. This is great news for Wake fans, as he is a key part of the coaching staff's effort to build size and depth on the offensive line. Suhren committed to Wake Forest on April 15, 2015, and stayed loyal to the Deacs despite late interest by UCLA and offers from half of the ACC (Boston College, Duke, Louisville, NC State, UNC, and Virginia) as well as other programs including Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia.

Suhren is a consensus three-star recruit with a .8615 247 Composite Ranking, good for 51st at his position, 593rd overall, and the second highest rating in Wake's planned 2016 recruiting class. He has received high praise from national analysts, and was invited to both the finals of The Opening competition and the Shrine Bowl.

Suhren is an excellent addition for the Demon Deacons. It's great to win recruiting battles for high-end in-state talent, particularly when those recruiting wins include a clean sweep of Duke, UNC, and NC State. I recommend watching the video of him dominating DEs at the Opening regionals, below. Welcome to Wake Forest, Taleni!
