Emmanuel Walker is a 6'3" 225-pound defensive end out of Santee, South Carolina. He is a 3-star recruit, and had offers from Georgia, Penn State, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Walker is a great athlete, and has the potential to be a great pass rusher the Deacs. He is an ideal fit for the "drop" position in defensive coordinator Mike Elko's 4-2-5 scheme. He has good range and pursues the ball well.
According to Maxpreps.com, Walker finished his senior season at Lake Marion High School with 92 total tackles, 27 sacks, and 37 QB hurries. Walker will definitely have an impact in the pass rush when he dons the black and gold next year.
Walker verbally committed to Wake Forest on August 27th and has not wavered since.

Walker's signing shows that the football program is placing an emphasis on recruiting the defensive line. He joins an impressive pair of defensive line recruits in Zander Zimmer and Carlos Basham.
