Wake Forest-Georgia Tech Predictions

Wake is desperately in need of a win against anyone and travels to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech tonight. Can the Deacs break their 8 game losing streak and improve on their 1-10 conference record? Tech enters the game at 12-11 (2-8 ACC) and has lost 8 of their last 10 games, including three straight albeit against Syracuse, Miami, and Duke.

Samurai: Wake 78-72. Gotta stick with the guys and I wouldn't call this prediction outrageous! Gonna predict two games in a row of double figure scoring for Crab.

Bart: Tech 83-76. Wake is awful on the road and has looked like absolute garbage over the past month. It's possible that the Deacs break their losing streak tonight, but I don't think it's likely. Tech gets out to a good start and Wake keeps it close for a decent portion of the game but is unable to seal the deal and falls to 1-11 in ACC play.

Chris: Tech 81-70. We don't do well in Atlanta, we haven't for along time, and this year's team just doesn't seem like the one to do it, even though Georgia Tech isn't very good. The fire has really gone out of the Deacs this year, and while this is absolutely a winnable game, things would really have to turn around quickly for Wake to come out on top

Riley: Wake in #thestunner 73-72

Rob: Tech 80-63. Wake Forest never wins in Atlanta, and the Deacs are playing like total garbage right now. I have no confidence whatsoever in this team and fully expect it to be ugly. Is it football season yet?

Grumpy: Tech 77-65. Because ACC road games generally, ones in Atlanta specifically, and the past 11 Wake games holistically.

Ned: Tech 81-69. Wake's defense fails to get key stops once again as an ACC opponent pulls away in the second half. The long drought of no W's in Atlanta will have to wait another two years.

Adam: Tech 78-66. winning road games in the ACC is hard. For Wake Forest, it is really hard. In Atlanta it is even harder. I think the last time the Deacs went into Atlanta and came out with a W, I was 10 years old. The Deacs aren't playing great at home right now, so the chances of winning on the road seem slim.

Well there you have it. It seems that most writers believe Wake needs to have a great game to knock of the Jackets, but I have to give a tip of the hat to Samurai and Riley for picking the Deacs. Maybe Wake will sneak in and steal one to move to 3-46 in our last 49 conference road games. As always, go Deacs.
