Go Deacs!

Wake Forest Demon Deacons (8-2) at #17 Xavier Musketeers (8-2)

Cincinnati, Ohio (Cintas Center)

Time: 8:00 p.m. ET

TV: Fox Sports One

Online Streaming: Fox Sports Go

Odds: Xavier is favored by 10 points. Over/Under is 154 points. Ken Pom projects that Xavier will win 82-73 and he also projects that Wake Forest has a 20% win probability.

The Deacs will face a tough task on Saturday evening when they take on Xavier in Cincinnati. Wake Forest will look to avenge last year's 78-70 loss, in which the Deacons led by 15 points at halftime. That was an excruciating defeat, and one that Wake fans don't want to relive. Jake wrote the game preview here, and Adam also covered some Xavier players to watch.

This is a tough matchup for Wake due to Xavier's size on the perimeter, but I do think that Wake can take advantage offensively and get Dinos Mitoglou a lot of touches in the paint. Xavier is an exceptional rebounding team, so Wake has to make a concentrated effort to box out and crash. Xavier's offense will not be effective if Wake can limit second chance opportunities, but John Collins will need help.

Buckle up. It's a great non-conference road test. As always, go Deacs!
