Wake Forest Bowl Projections

It’s official, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons are going to a bowl game! Wake Forest mounted a 4th quarter comeback to defeat Virginia 27-20 and secure Wake’s 6th win of the season. I know a lot of our readers were concerned about us jinxing the Deacs by talking about possible bowl destinations before they were eligible, but I don’t think any will complain now! Where do the experts have the Deacs bowling this December?

ESPN - It’s worth noting that these projections were made last Tuesday, but here they are. Mark Schlabach has Wake Forest playing Temple on Tuesday, December 27th in the Military Bowl in Annapolis, Maryland. Brett McMurphy has Wake Forest playing Stanford in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas on December 30th.

Bleacher Report - Bleacher report has the Deacs playing Minnesota in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl on Wednesday, December 28th. This would be really cool, as the game is played in Yankee Stadium (Go O’s!!!), and is against a beatable Power 5 opponent.

CBS Sports -Jerry Palm has Wake Forest playing USC (the real one) in the Sun Bowl.

SB Nation - The mother ship expects the Deacs to play Arizona State in the Sun Bowl.
