Last week did not go according to plan, but Wake Forest still has an outstanding opportunity in front of them. With a win today, Wake Forest will secure bowl eligibility for the first time since 2011. Head coach Dave Clawson has a history of delivering results by Year Three. While the team started off 4-0, they have lost 3 of their last 4 and now sit at 5-3. Still, Wake is a slight home favorite today against Virginia.

It should be a low scoring game given Wake's struggles on offense, and Wake's excellent defense. I believe the biggest part of this game will be how well each team can execute in the short passing attack. That's a relative strength for Virginia and it's by far Wake's biggest weakness defensively. Virginia is also horrific at defending short passes but Wake hasn't been that successful throwing those so far this year. Will Wolford be able to do that today? That's the major question.
I'll be around this week, so I hope that if you all are able to join me in the comments section.
As always, go Deacs!
