Wake Forest will play away from the Joel for the first time this season on Thursday when they take on the UTEP Miners in the first round of the Gildan Charleston Classic. For an in-depth preview, be sure to check out Jake's preview. UTEP is 1-0 on the season, but its lone win came against Louisiana College, which competes in Division III. Danny Manning is familiar with UTEP from his time in Conference with USA, and is 3-0 against the Miners.

I expect Wake to have a significant advantage inside and be in control for the majority of the game. If Wake Forest wins the game (knock on wood),the Deacs will play the winner of Villanova vs. Western Michigan.
